Abstract
A case of malignant appendiceal carcinoma is reported in view of its rarity.

The patient was 32 year-old male who had complained severe lower abdominal pain and chillness.

The patient had been noticed mild lower abdominal pain occassionally since about 2 years ago and diarr-

hea and constipation had been noticed with occassional nausea and anorexia, since 8 month ago.
At the time of operation, a adult fist sized mass was noticed at ileocecal region with moderate congestion

and mild necrosis. All tumor mass was removed and ileocolostomy was done.
Microscopically, there was diffuse infiltration of tumor cells from base to tip of appendix and extended from mucosa to serosa.

The tumor was composed of solid nests of uniform, small cells. Tumor emboli were also found in the blood vessels of mesoappendix.

There was same cellular patten of tumor in ileocecal region and suggest the infiltrating growth of the tumor of appendix.

Argentaffin granules were identified in cytoplasm of tumor cells with argentaffin stain.

A brief review of literatures was made.
